Basil Rathbone is my second favourite, Sherlock, after Benedict Cumberbatch, but is much truer to the character.

His Watson is a Dave and a complete tool, and the swipes he takes at him are fire.

Sherlock is the poster boy for ASD level 1.5.

I have seen this movie several times.

This movie is not really a mystery. It has a whodunnit factor of a Columbo episode, but it does not stop it from being entertaining.

This movie requires more attention than I gave it on this watch, and it is better suited to a grey Sunday with a popcorn watch.

Still, Rathbone does draw your attention to the screen for the simple pleasure of him as the lead.

It is a pleasurable Holmes but not the best.
