The next chapter from the John Wick video game…. uh movie.
This is an epic movie on so many levels and a wonderful expansion of this universe, opening up so many sandbox potentials.
Our main character has gone through so much and has overcome, and we watch them power level to the max level for this expansion. Much of the rest of the movie deals with possible end-game story arcs.
There are also several spin-off characters we have met and are left with some rather unfinished angles. Caine and Akira are the two that stand out the most, and considering internet chatter, I am not the only one.
We were left but with just a simple sample of them, which is often the case for the secondary characters in this series. This is not a bad thing either, because it does give them the chance of expansion along the way if needed, or fuel the mind of fanfic and novel writers, either could properly hash out a world for them.
I must admit, I felt winded for John Wick to climb those stairs twice, even while I sat in my gaming chair snacking on chips.
If this was the end, it was the perfect high note to end on, but this is a videogame world, and another expansion is always possible. No one is ever truly dead. Just ask the guy from Extraction 2.
