Muscled out by an ejaculation is something I need on a t-shirt.
There is nothing really serious about this movie. It is a light romcom romp through ABBA songs. The story itself is a little more than a distraction, not to say that the story is not fun, but clearly not why I am addicted to this movie.
Had the ABBA music not been a part of this, I would have watched the movie once and said goodnight.
The story is simple: Girl finds out mom had a very interesting sex life, assumes that one of the three men her mom talked about could be her dad. Comes up with a deceptive plan to drop the bomb on them that they might have had a child they neglected. Does not tell her mom that she invited these potentially dangerous men to her wedding. Is not really certain how they will react but assumes that everyone is going to be chill with it. Mom finds out, wonders where she went wrong as a parent.
I am not condemning because I know for a fact that when we say three lovers, there is more, but we will stay in the land of make-believe with only the three.
So the three guys show up with zero ulterior motive and they realise everyone has been conned by this girl doing a very complicated dance to find out who her father is, when a blood test would have been quite simple.
The gay guy was apparently motivated by the ABBA tracks.
The girl’s fiancé is also not in the loop but takes the fact that his wife to be invited three strange men to their wedding to have a wedding bomb. Although he seems free willed and like myself, he was probably eyeing either Pierce Brosnan or, more specifically, Colin Firth.
All in all, this could have ended up as one heck of a horror movie, but ABBA makes it all better.
Do not get me wrong, I actually really like this movie, and we can not forget that movies with Christine Baranski make it better. She can do no wrong.
This is a fun weekend movie, and there is no way I am sitting still throughout this movie. My cat has to deal with my singing. Please say a prayer for her.
Very pumpkin spice latté gurl kinda movie!
